Karta Pobytu (TRC) + MOS v2.0 + eDoręczenia
Karta Pobytu + eDoręczenia is a new way to apply for a Karta Pobytu in Poland entirely online through the modern MOS v2 system, the implementation of which is expected in March 2026. It will allow all correspondence with the Urząd and the case inspector to be conducted electronically, without the need for in-person visits or paper letters.
We offer comprehensive legal support for the entire process of obtaining a Karta Pobytu using state electronic systems, strictly in accordance with the requirements of Polish administrative law (Kodeks postępowania administracyjnego).
ATTENTION: At present, submitting an application for a Karta Pobytu through the online MOS v2.0 system is not yet available. According to official information, the system launch is planned for the beginning of March 2026, but taking into account the practice of implementing government services, delays are possible.
Therefore, we recommend not delaying the submission and applying for a Karta Pobytu using the current procedure: in person at the Urząd (if registered) or by sending documents via Poczta Polska, which remains a legal and valid option.
What is eDoręczenia?
eDoręczenia is a state electronic system in Poland, analogous to email, designed for exchanging messages, applications, and other documents with government authorities. Within the system, all actions and documents can be signed with a qualified electronic signature via ePUAP (Profil Zaufany).
How to Obtain a Karta Pobytu (TRC) in 2026
In 2026, obtaining a Karta Pobytu in Poland will transition to a new digital format. Voivodeship offices are introducing electronic management of migration cases, which directly affects the procedure for submitting applications, interaction with the inspector, and the actual processing times for Karta Pobytu cases.
The key change is the mandatory use of the state MOS v2.0 system (Moduł Obsługi Spraw Cudzoziemców) for submitting applications, as well as the eDoręczenia system as the official and legally binding channel for correspondence with authorities.
In our blog, we have already described in detail how to obtain a Karta Pobytu in 2026, what documents need to be prepared, and how to check the case status in 2026. This material will be regularly updated throughout the year based on the current practices of the offices and relevant legislative changes (on an ongoing basis).

The service includes:
- preparation of documents for the Karta Pobytu;
- submission of the application through the MOS v2.0 system;
- setup and management of correspondence via eDoręczenia;
- responses to the inspector’s requests within the statutory deadlines;
- legal protection in case of refusal or suspension of the case.
✅ Accelerated processing of the Karta Pobytu
We help you collect and submit documents in a way that everything is correct from the very first attempt. We know exactly how voivodeship offices operate, what mistakes foreigners most commonly make, and how to avoid them. Thanks to this, our clients’ cases are processed faster than average — without unnecessary requests for additional documents and without long waiting periods.
We have more than 10 years of experience assisting foreigners and companies with legalizing residence and employment in Poland. Since 2018, we have specialized precisely in accelerating the processing of residence card (karta pobytu) applications. Over this time, we have successfully handled thousands of cases, thoroughly understand all the nuances, and have proven methods of interacting with the offices.

It doesn’t matter to us which voivodeship or city in Poland you reside in — we operate throughout the entire country.
MOS v2.0 and eDoręczenia: Why It Matters
Starting in 2026, electronic correspondence delivered via the eDoręczenia system will have full legal effect as official service of documents (doręczenie elektroniczne), fully equivalent to a registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt.
This means that:
- a message is considered received even without actual reading;
- missing the response deadline leads to negative procedural consequences;
- failure to respond may result in refusal or leaving the case without consideration (art. 64 §2, art. 35 KPA).
Main Risks for Foreigners
In practice, foreigners most often encounter the following problems:
- untimely response to the inspector’s letter;
- incorrect interpretation of the urząd’s requirements;
- no reaction to eDoręczenia;
- independent submission without understanding digital procedures.
The result is a refusal (decyzja odmowna), prolongation of the process, or loss of legal status.
What This Means in Practice in 2026
As of today, there is no detailed public instruction describing all stages of applying for a Karta Pobytu through MOS v2.0. However, based on experience with other electronic systems (e.g., ZUS PUE, e-Urząd Skarbowy), it is already possible to predict:
- automated deadlines;
- lack of flexibility on the part of the inspector;
- formal approach to each case;
- minimal opportunity to “correct an error retroactively”.
We strongly recommend not delaying the submission of the Karta Pobytu (TRC) application.
Delaying submission leads to:
- increased case processing times;
- complications in subsequently obtaining the EU long-term resident card;
- postponement of prospects for obtaining Polish citizenship (ustawa o cudzoziemcach, ustawa o obywatelstwie polskim).
Early submission is a strategic decision, not a formality.
Individual Legal Approach
Each case is subject to a comprehensive individual legal analysis, with particular emphasis on the specific legal grounds of the foreigner’s stay, current immigration status, and applicable regulatory framework. We assess both the factual circumstances and the legal risks to ensure full compliance with Polish and EU immigration law.
As part of our support, we:
- conduct a legal audit of the situation;
- interact with the employer, educational institution, or business partners;
- conduct official correspondence with the inspector;
- submit objections, appeals, and complaints;
- if necessary, initiate administrative court proceedings (Wojewódzki Sąd Administracyjny).
