ONE PLUS Sp. z o.o. is a licensed insurance agent, entered under no. 11266940/A in the Register of Insurance Intermediaries (Rejestr pośredników ubezpieczeniowych) maintained by KNF. Your policy is arranged by an official agent, fully online with no office visit: several options from trusted insurers, competitive prices, discounts and bonuses for clients, friends and ONE PLUS partners.

What you get when you apply online

From the first calculation to your policy document — all in one place, with help from an insurance agent.

Choose the period and cover amount. The calculator shows an available tariff or lets you know that an agent needs to prepare a quote.

  • Cover for your purpose

Tell us whether you need a policy for a residence permit, visa or studies. Your agent will check the selected option before arranging it.

  • A chat in your account

Ask questions, clarify details and receive replies from your agent. You can attach documents to your application.

  • Your policy as a PDF

After checking your details, agreeing the terms and receiving payment, your agent will send the policy to your account and email.

  • Applications for loved ones

Create a separate application for a child, relative or friend. Each insured person has their own details and cover dates.

  • Rewards for online orders

After payment is confirmed, 5% is credited to your account balance. Save it towards ONE PLUS services or request a payout from 100 PLN.

Health insurance online for foreigners in Poland

On this page you can check the price of private medical insurance and buy it online for living, working or studying in Poland, including a policy for your residence card (karta pobytu) application or a Polish visa. Choose the sum insured and your dates, and the calculator shows the price straight away. Then fill in a short form.

You can pay with BLIK. A ONE PLUS insurance agent checks your details, answers questions in the chat and emails you the policy as a PDF. There is no need to visit our office.

What insurance do you need for a residence card?

For most temporary residence grounds (work, studies, business, family reunification, EU Blue Card), the Polish Act on Foreigners (ustawa o cudzoziemcach) asks for one of two things: public health insurance with NFZ, or confirmation that an insurer will cover your medical costs in Poland. See, for example, art. 114 (work) and art. 144 (studies). The law sets no minimum sum insured for a residence card. We usually suggest EUR 30,000, but for the office the policy dates and the fact that it covers treatment matter just as much.

What the voivodeship office looks at in practice:

  • The policy covers treatment in Poland, meaning doctor visits and hospital care. Accident-only cover (NNW) is not enough on its own.
  • The policy is valid on the day of the decision. Applications often take months, so a 12-month policy is usually easier than extending a short one.
  • Your details match your passport: first name, surname and date of birth must be spelt exactly as in your passport and application.

If you work under an employment contract (umowa o pracę) or a contract of mandate (umowa zlecenie) and your employer pays ZUS contributions for you, you are already insured with NFZ. In that case the office usually accepts proof of those contributions instead of a private policy. A private policy helps when nobody pays them: before your job starts, while you study, for a family member who does not work, or on an umowa zlecenie without ZUS.

For requirements and sample rates, see our page on health insurance for a residence permit.

Insurance for a Polish visa

Visa rules are stricter. Under art. 25 of the Act on Foreigners you need travel medical insurance of at least EUR 30,000, valid for your whole planned stay. It must cover urgent medical care, emergency hospital treatment and medical transport back to your home country. For a visa, choose EUR 30,000 in the calculator. Before you pay, the agent checks the dates and terms against your consulate’s requirements.

What you can choose in the calculator

  • Sum insured: EUR 10,000 or EUR 30,000 for medical expenses.
  • Rate: standard, or student if you study in Poland.
  • Period: 1, 6 or 12 months, or your own start and end dates (the agent then quotes the price). The start date cannot be in the past.
  • Physical work: if you work on a building site, in a warehouse, in a factory or in another higher-risk job, tick this option. The standard option is for non-manual work, so please answer accurately.
  • NNW and OC: you can add accident cover and third-party liability to your medical cover.

If you can’t find the option you need, message us in the chat. The agent will find suitable terms and give you the exact price before you pay.

How buying a policy works

  • Quote. Choose who you are insuring, the sum insured, the rate and the dates.
  • Application. Enter your details exactly as they appear in your passport and confirm your email with a code. The application is saved in your account.
  • Check. The agent checks your details and what the policy is for. You can ask questions in the chat and attach a letter from the office there.
  • Payment and policy. Once you pay with BLIK, the agent issues the policy and emails you the PDF. A copy stays in your account.

One account can hold policies for you, your child, your spouse or your parents. Each person gets a separate application with their own dates.

What to check before you pay

  • Dates: the policy should be valid on the day of the residence card decision, or for your whole stay on a visa.
  • Purpose: tell the agent what the policy is for, and pass on any requirements the office or consulate has already sent you.
  • Exclusions: every policy has them, such as chronic conditions or planned treatment. If this applies to you, ask the agent before you buy.
  • Language: a policy issued abroad in another language may need a sworn translation into Polish.

Rewards for online policies and referrals

Every paid online policy adds a reward to the balance in your account. The rate depends on your programme level, based on the total value of policies paid in a calendar year by you and the friends you invited: Silver 5%, Bronze 7% (from 5,000 zł), Gold 10% (from 10,000 zł), Black 13% (from 20,000 zł). The reward is added once the agent confirms your payment.

In your account you can join the referral programme and get a personal code and link. When a friend buys a policy through your link and pays for it, you both get a reward. You can spend rewards on ONE PLUS services, such as a residence card consultation, or withdraw them online or at our Wrocław office once you have at least 100 zł, with no ONE PLUS fee.

Who arranges your policy

Your cover comes from the insurer, under the terms of its policy. ONE PLUS Sp. z o.o. acts as an insurance agent and is listed in the KNF register of insurance intermediaries under number 11266940/A. We also help foreigners with residence cards and visas, so we know what offices tend to ask about insurance.

The decision on your residence card or visa is made by the office or consulate, and a policy alone does not guarantee it. We work online across Poland, and you are also welcome to visit our Wrocław office: ul. Marsz. Józefa Piłsudskiego 43, 4th floor, office 8.

FAQ: online insurance in Poland

Answers about the calculator, applications, payment and receiving your policy.
How do I arrange insurance online with ONE PLUS?

Choose the dates, cover amount and tariff in the calculator, then enter the insured person’s details and your contact information. Once you verify your email, a chat will open for your application. Confirm the details and agree the terms and payment with your agent. You will receive the finished policy as a PDF.

What price does the online insurance calculator show?

For available combinations of dates and cover, the calculator uses the available tariffs. If it shows an estimate or says an agent’s quote is needed, agree the final amount in the chat. Sending an application does not mean the policy has been paid for or that cover has started.

Can I apply for a residence permit or visa insurance policy?

Yes. Tell us what you need the policy for when choosing your cover. Requirements for a Polish residence permit and a visa may differ. Your agent will check the dates, cover and terms of the selected option. The relevant immigration office or consulate makes the final assessment of your documents.

What details do I need to insure a foreign national?

Have the first and last name as shown in the identity document, date of birth, nationality, passport number, residential address, phone number and email ready. Specify the dates and type of work. Share any university requirements or letter from the immigration office with your agent before payment.

Can I arrange a policy for my child or another person?

Yes. Select who you are insuring at the start of the form and enter that person’s details. Confirm that you are authorised to provide them. The application stays in the account linked to your email, and you can create a separate application for another person.

How do I pay and receive my policy?

After you confirm the application, your agent will agree the final price and payment arrangements with you. BLIK payment is available. Once the formalities and payment are complete, your agent will provide the PDF policy through your account and by email.

What if a name or date in my application is wrong?

Choose “Change” under the summary and describe the correction in the chat. Your agent will update the details and ask you to confirm them again. If the policy has already been issued, contact your agent first: the correction process depends on the insurer.

When does insurance cover start?

The issued policy specifies the period of cover, subject to its terms. Sending the form, confirming your details or receiving an estimate does not activate cover. Before paying, check the start date and any restrictions with your agent.
