e-Doręczenia and MOS 2.0 in Wrocław
Since 27 April 2026, applications for a Temporary Residence Permit (Karta Pobytu), Permanent Residence Permit, and EU Long-Term Resident Permit in Poland can only be submitted through the MOS 2.0 online platform. Traditional paper applications are no longer accepted. This marks one of the biggest changes to Poland’s immigration system in recent years.
Many foreigners assume that once their application has been submitted through MOS 2.0, all further communication with the Voivodeship Office will take place within the same platform. In reality, this is not how the system works.
MOS 2.0 is primarily used to submit the initial residence permit application. After that, most official correspondence with the Lower Silesian Voivodeship Office (Dolnośląski Urząd Wojewódzki) in Wrocław is handled through Poland’s electronic delivery system known as e-Doręczenia.
For this reason, it is important not only to prepare your residence permit application correctly. You should also have an active e-Doręczenia mailbox and a valid Profil Zaufany account before starting the process.
What Changed After the Introduction of MOS 2.0?
Once your application has been submitted, the Voivodeship Office may send important notifications electronically through e-Doręczenia.
These communications may include:
- Requests for additional documents
- Information regarding fingerprint appointments
- Notices concerning formal deficiencies in the application
- Updates about the status of your case
- Notifications that your residence card is ready for collection
As a result, applicants should regularly monitor their e-Doręczenia inbox. Failure to respond to official correspondence within the required timeframe may significantly delay the case and, in some situations, prevent further processing of the application.

Why Is Proper Communication With the Voivodeship Office So Important?
In many residence permit cases, delays are not caused by missing eligibility requirements but by communication issues.
Missed letters, unanswered requests, incorrectly signed electronic documents, or failure to submit additional documents on time can easily add several months to the processing time.
Following the launch of MOS 2.0, electronic communication has become even more important. Even a well-prepared application can be delayed if the applicant does not regularly check their e-Doręczenia mailbox or does not know how to correctly submit supporting documents after the application has already been filed.
Understanding how MOS 2.0, e-Doręczenia, Profil Zaufany, and the Voivodeship Office work together is now an essential part of successfully managing a residence permit application in Poland.
