We help you see why a temporary residence case is stuck and choose lawful next steps after filing

ONE PLUS reviews delayed temporary residence permit proceedings and identifies the lawful step most likely to move the case forward. We can take over a MOS 2.0 application or a case that was filed earlier or handled without professional support.

We begin by reconstructing the timeline: UPO confirmations, letters and notifications, replies to document requests, fingerprints, employer action and the validity of supporting documents. We then recommend a specific next step, such as completing the file, requesting a status update, submitting a formal reminder (ponaglenie), or filing a complaint with the Voivodeship Administrative Court when the record supports it.

The client receives an assessment of the delay, a practical action list and the agreed procedural documents. We cannot promise a decision date or outcome because those remain with the authority and the court, but we can correct applicant-side gaps and properly document inactivity or excessive delay.

When waiting for a temporary residence card stops feeling normal

If you filed for a temporary residence card and months pass without clear progress, you are not alone. In 2026, voivodeship offices handling foreign nationals remain under heavy pressure. MOS 2.0 made online filing easier, but it did not reduce casework volume. Fingerprints queues, delayed employer confirmations, repeated document requests, and long gaps without inspector contact are common in Wrocław, Warsaw, Gdańsk, Katowice, and other cities.

ONE PLUS has supported foreign nationals in Poland since 2018, and works with residence procedures at different stages. For us, “acceleration” does not mean informal shortcuts. It means working properly with administrative procedure: checking case status, responding to office requests, using a formal reminder (ponaglenie) where appropriate, and, when justified, filing a complaint with the Voivodeship Administrative Court (WSA).

We do not promise a decision date or a positive outcome. The voivodeship office makes the final decision. Our role is to help you understand what is blocking the proceeding and choose lawful tools that fit your situation.

Why temporary residence cases stall in 2026

MOS 2.0 changed filing, not office capacity

Many applicants assumed digital submission through MOS 2.0 would shorten waiting times. In practice, new bottlenecks appeared:

  • employers slow to confirm employment data in the system;
  • photo rejected for technical reasons;
  • errors in załącznik nr 1 discovered late;
  • application marked as sent while proceedings have not truly started due to formal gaps.

Official guidance is published on gov.pl/udsc. For current rules and timelines, see our overview of the 2026 residence card process.

Hidden reasons applicants often miss

The office may be waiting for a third party, verifying ZUS, address registration, or employment documents. A document request may have been sent but not received. Without active follow-up, you may only learn about the problem half a year later.

Typical internal delay factors include:

  • no response to a document request within the deadline;
  • outdated employment contract, insurance, or address registration;
  • employer-side issues with MOS confirmation;
  • errors in the application or attachments;
  • address change not reported to the office;
  • silence after fingerprints;
  • internal office backlog with no inspector contact.

When acceleration tools actually make sense

Diagnosis first, action second

Not every long wait requires court action. Sometimes the right step is to submit updated documents or reply to an inspector’s letter. ONE PLUS starts with chronology: filing date, UPO, document requests, fingerprints, correspondence, MOS employer status.

When a formal reminder (ponaglenie) is justified

A ponaglenie is a remedy for administrative inactivity or proceedings that take longer than necessary. It can prompt a formal review of the delay, but it does not guarantee a quick decision. Timing matters: if the office is still waiting for documents from you or your employer, the remedy may be premature.

WSA complaint: procedural control, not a residence permit order

A complaint to WSA challenges office inactivity or excessive delay. The court does not grant your residence card. It reviews whether the authority acted lawfully and within reasonable procedural limits.

After a complaint is filed, the office must submit explanations. In practice, proceedings often become more active: document requests appear, appointments are scheduled, the case moves forward. That still does not guarantee a positive decision or a fixed timeline. A complaint may be dismissed if delay was caused by the applicant or third parties.

For a broader look at court remedies, see appeal a residence permit case.

Risks of the wrong complaint at the wrong time

Filing too early

If you have not answered a document request or your employer has not completed MOS confirmation, an inactivity complaint may fail. The court will see that the authority was waiting for required steps from your side.

Template complaints without evidence

WSA needs dates, UPO, copies of letters, proof of delivery, and a clear timeline. A generic internet template rarely works. A poorly prepared complaint costs time and court fees without procedural benefit.

Waking up a case that exposes weak points

A complaint can push the office to act, and that action may reveal documentation gaps: expired contract, missing insurance, incorrect data. That is why document review should come before escalation, not after months of passive waiting.

How ONE PLUS reviews the status of a proceeding

What we examine

  1. Application date and UPO confirmation.
  2. document requests: content, deadlines, whether you replied.
  3. Fingerprints: when taken and what happened next.
  4. Currency of employment contract, insurance, address registration.
  5. Employer confirmation status in MOS 2.0.
  6. Alignment with gov.pl requirements and local office practice.

Possible next steps

  • formal request for case status;
  • response to document request;
  • formal reminder (ponaglenie) with case-specific reasoning;
  • WSA complaint when grounds exist;
  • ongoing communication with the inspector;
  • document updates before validity expires.

Since 2018, ONE PLUS has handled cases across Poland. The same procedural step may produce different results in Wrocław, Warsaw, or Gdańsk, so strategy is always tailored.

ONE PLUS experience and approach

ONE PLUS has operated officially since 2018 and has practical experience with migration proceedings. The team supports foreign nationals in residence matters and understands how voivodeship offices handle these cases.

We do not sell a “fast card” and we do not use unofficial schemes. We provide a documented assessment, explain the available procedural steps and can support subsequent correspondence with the office.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about the procedure, documents, and ONE PLUS support
Can a temporary residence case still be moved forward after MOS 2.0?

Yes, in many situations proceedings can be activated after online filing. First you need to identify the stage: is the office waiting on the employer, on your reply to a document request, or on internal steps after fingerprints? Without that diagnosis, a template complaint rarely helps.

How long do offices take in 2026?

It depends on the voivodeship, case type, and document quality. Waiting from several months to a year or longer remains common. Actual processing time should be assessed against the correspondence and procedural steps in the individual proceeding.

What is the difference between formal reminder (ponaglenie) and a WSA complaint?

A formal reminder (ponaglenie) is addressed to the administrative authority and asks for faster handling at office level. A WSA complaint is judicial review of the authority’s conduct. formal reminder (ponaglenie) often comes first; a complaint makes sense when softer steps did not work and inactivity or excessive delay is documented.

Does a court complaint guarantee approval?

No. The court checks legality of office action, not the merits of your residence basis. A complaint may speed up procedural steps, but the final decision depends on your documents and legal grounds.

What if there is silence after fingerprints?

Fingerprints do not mean a decision is near. Check for document requests, document expiry, and employer confirmation in MOS. If the office remains silent for a long period, professional assessment of formal reminder (ponaglenie) or a complaint is advisable.

Can ONE PLUS help after a self-filed application?

Yes. That is a frequent scenario. We review the open proceeding, correct errors where still possible, and build the next strategy. The earlier you start monitoring, the lower the risk that documents expire.

Does ONE PLUS guarantee acceleration?

No. No company can guarantee a timeline or a positive decision from the office. We provide a professional assessment, clear terms, and procedural tools suited to the current stage of the proceedings.
