Poland Police Clearance Certificate with Apostille

If you have previously lived, worked, studied, or held a residence permit in Poland, you may need a Police Clearance Certificate from Poland for immigration, employment, residency, citizenship, or other official purposes abroad.

ONE PLUS can obtain your Poland Police Clearance Certificate with Apostille without you having to travel to Poland. We handle the entire process on your behalf, including obtaining the certificate from the Polish National Criminal Register (KRK), arranging the Apostille, organizing a sworn translation if required, and sending the original documents to you by international courier.

We regularly assist clients who currently live outside Poland, including in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, EU countries and Asia.

Poland Police Clearance Certificate (KRK)

The official Polish criminal record certificate is issued by the National Criminal Register (Krajowy Rejestr Karny – KRK). It confirms whether a person has a criminal record registered in Poland.

The document may be required when applying for immigration, permanent residence, citizenship, employment, professional licensing or other official procedures abroad.

If you are outside Poland, you do not need to return to Poland to obtain the certificate. We can complete the procedure on your behalf based on a Power of Attorney.

Do I need an Apostille?

Whether you need an Apostille depends on the country and authority where you will submit your Police Clearance Certificate.

An Apostille confirms the authenticity of a Polish public document for use abroad. Some foreign immigration authorities, government agencies and other institutions require the Polish Police Clearance Certificate to have an Apostille before they will accept it.

If you are not sure what you need, simply tell us the country, the authority requesting the document and the purpose for which it will be used. We can then advise you whether you should obtain the certificate alone or arrange an Apostille and translation as well.

The entire process can be completed remotely

You do not need to visit our office or travel to Poland.

You send us a copy of your passport and the personal information required for the KRK application. We prepare the necessary documents and Power of Attorney and handle the procedure in Poland on your behalf.

We first obtain your Police Clearance Certificate from KRK. If required, we then arrange the Apostille and a sworn translation into English or another language.

We can send you a scanned copy as soon as each document is ready. Once the complete process has been finished, the originals can be sent directly to your address by international courier.

You do not need a Polish electronic signature or Profil Zaufany and you do not need to use the Polish e-KRK system yourself.

Processing time

The Police Clearance Certificate itself can normally be obtained within 1 business day after we receive your payment and all required information.

If an Apostille is required, please allow approximately 7–12 additional business days.

A sworn translation can then be arranged if required by the authority receiving your documents.

Once everything is ready, we can send the original documents to you by international courier with tracking.

Cost of the service

Polish Police Clearance Certificate (KRK) without Apostille: 400 PLN net

Polish Police Clearance Certificate (KRK) with Apostille: 600 PLN net

Sworn translation into English: additional 200 PLN net

International courier delivery is charged separately and depends on the destination country.

VAT is added where applicable.

If you require a translation into a language other than English, please contact us for an individual quotation.

What information do we need?

To prepare your application, we normally need a scan of the photo page of your passport, your parents’ full names, your mother’s maiden name, your place of birth and your previous address in Poland, if applicable.

For international delivery, we will also need your full name, delivery address, postal code, country and contact telephone number.

Please also tell us where the certificate will be submitted and whether you need an Apostille and/or a sworn translation.

Once we receive the required information, we will issue a VAT invoice with our company bank details. We begin processing your application as soon as the payment is received.

When might you need a Polish Police Clearance Certificate?

A Polish Police Clearance Certificate is commonly requested for immigration and permanent residence applications, citizenship procedures, visa and work permit applications, employment background checks, professional licensing, studies abroad and other official procedures.

Requirements vary between countries and authorities. For this reason, we recommend checking whether the receiving authority requires the original KRK certificate only, a Poland Police Clearance Certificate with Apostille, or an Apostille together with a sworn translation.

If you are unsure, send us the requirements you received from the relevant authority and we will help you determine which documents you need.

International courier delivery

We can send the original documents by international courier to Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, EU countries, Asia and other destinations worldwide.

Once your documents have been dispatched, we will provide you with the tracking information.
